A project what I'd like to be starting.
Well, there's a thing upon the blogoblag which goes by the name of the Spring RTS engine. If you really can't figure out where this is going, I'll be having a go at making something with it over an indefinite period. The one problem is that the computer which I'm using isn't yet compatible with the engine. I think that this may take a while.

A spot of support from the Armoured Corps.
Just today managed to get me some British medium tanks from Dystopian Wars. Just three of them seem to make my battalion of infantry seem insignificant.
Anyhow, tomorrow, it's the school open day, so I'm hoping to photograph them in action in a small game, and hopefully bring back a report for volley fire.
Trar.

Message from patrols
My flotilla commander has called the HMS Collier into an area fifteen miles west nor' west of Birmingham, reporting that there seems to be plans for a large body of pirates to sweep across the area for a day. Well, I've got five days to get there.

Volley Fire!
Right. I mentioned that I'd been brewing some rules up, and here they are. I concocted them entirely by mysaelf, so I couldnt tell you how good they are. I don't know, but I have a feeling that they're not much good for large scale games, but they've not been playtested yet. In the slim chance that anyone reads this and has some 2mm scale infantry, or 6mm to scale up with, could you return some writing to me about it?
Tall order, I know.

Ah, I suppose I'd best link the file:

First draft.
Just got in a shipment from Irregular Miniatures the day before yesterday. It's a Crimean era British army, but I've split it half and half with my brother. Not particularly chosen to play Crimean games. Anyway, I'll post up a few pictures.
This one above's a shot of most of the army, except for dragoons, on the far flanks.
Shot from the top. Terrible blur. sorry. Probably a terrible tactical setup, but I've not had anyone tell me otherwise as yet.
I've painted one platoon, in red coats, black trousers, white hats, and with a standard of my own devising. Unfortunately, 2mm is hell to get good photos of, so I'll work on that. Maybe use a table lamp.
That's all for now.

Wargames rules in progress
Right. I've been trying to figure out some rules for 2mm Victorians, and I have the simplest of them all sorted to allow playing. that is, I've got a motion and combat system. I'm just typing them up and figuring out to see how I can get them on the internet. If anyone reads this, help me please.

Greetings, all!
Well, I've finally given in and gotten myself a blog. Given in to what, I couldn't really tell you. I'm not sure what the blog's going to be for, but it'll likely be oriented around railways, ships, wargames, Victorian through to Georgian science fiction, the local area, and whatever else takes my fancy. Of course, the likelihood of any of you lot bothering to come back to this thing is low, so it shouldn't much matter.
